How do I open a Rewards Checking Preferred account?

Opening a Rewards Checking Preferred account is easy and can be done completely online.

• Tell us a little bit about yourself so we can verify your identity.
• Set up direct deposit so you can add funds to your account and take advantage of all the account features. Not ready for direct deposit? That’s okay -- it’s easy to link an account and transfer money electronically as well.
• Use your Upgrade Visa® Debit Card to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted and earn 2% cash back on common everyday expenses and 1% cash back on everything else.* Learn more about how much cash back you can earn with a Rewards Checking Preferred account.
• Some limitations apply. See the Rewards Checking Preferred page for full details.
